back to school 2
neva been blogging recently cos i'm kinda busy or maybe it's juz plain lazy...hehez...so to prevent my blog from rotting...it's time to type some stuff here...abt me of cos...wahahaz...probably the onli thing i can yak abt is sch...tis is already the 3rd week of sch...and i'm still trying hard to adapt to a new uni system of teaching...the lecturers are not bad...but i juz find the content profound for my current standard (i simply lost my knowledge or something...) worse still...the notes given are very brief...so have to read on our own...and mind u...the textbks are exp! it's hard to be an independent learner! hahaz...not only i fret over my core modules...my art modules are giving me a headache too...literature is harder than i thought...political science makes me realise i lack examples and need more reading...yikes...can i juz hope for a smooth-sailing semester?
jumping to some minor problems...though i dun treat uni as a fashion parade...but it's still irritating to crack my brain on wat clothes to wear everyday. Tat's y i miss UNIFORMS! hehez...but there's something amazing abt uni life...there are always shopping bazzars...something like pasa malam...probably it's for students who have very long breaks to pass some time...it's a good change in this case...heh...
on the friends' corner...been sticking around with my og mates all the time...whom i really enjoy their company and truly blissful to know them...or else i'll be sooo lonely in sch...most imptly tat i got company for the mods tat i take...thank god...but i'm alone for one of the tutorial slot! yikes...
hmmm...my sch life doesnt end here...still got cca! hehez...first up is wushu...been for 3 lessons already & i personally think it's quite fun though it's tiring...a few stretches, some kicking and punching can really make one sweat like mad...i can proudly say tat i know some basic kicking & punching though there's still room for improvement...hehez...luckily got a good fren with me in wushu...makes learning interesting...of cos...the wushu ppl i befriended are very very nice...secondly...there's the anime club...the club tat i muz join cos i really like anime & manga (for now...cos dunno when my craze will die down...)..there's gonna be an anime bazzar next week in sch & i plan to help out...it will be an interesting experience...cos there's cosplay to see! hahaz...neva see before...full of anticipation! hehez...
finally i watched the movie 'Secret' with ong 2 weeks ago...the story plot is quite nice and intriguing...i shld give thumbs up for jay chou on the account tat it's his first time directing a movie...romance, a bit of mystery and a bit of comedy...shld be a movie not to be missed if ya're a jay chou fan...
my movie marathon had ended...i'm totally satisfied for watching all the movies tat i wanted...so i'm back to my drama marathon...hahaz...currently watching taiwan drama 'The X-Family' aka 'Zhong Ji Yi Jia'..featuring fei lun hai, tang yu zhe & many others...it's a sequel to 'Zhong Ji Yi Ban'...it has a very 'unrealistic yet fascinating' plot...quite hard to explain...if ya interested...can check out drama wiki....
haiz...really want to visit my pri sch & jc due to teachers' day...but my schedule is really packed! ahhhh! but juz take tis opportunity to say to all my teachers who taught me before...HAPPY TEACHERS' DAY!
i shld have more stuff to blog in my next week...=)

back to school
i'm not poning sch hor...i've no lectures today...so tat's y i'm now happily blogging tis entry...so many things happened last week...probably because it was my last holiday week...can u believe it? 8 mths of working & slacking juz passed like lightning...and ta-da! it's time for me to hit the books again...but my brain's really rusty...oh god...nus rag & flag day 07 ended on a nice note last sat...dazzling costumes, groovy dancers and majestic floats were the limelight of the whole event...of cos...it's the students tat bring the atmosphere high up! of cos i went & support science rag! sci ROX! i was initially a small time ragger...then actually became a 'backstage crew member'...helping to roll out the dancefloor mat(super heavy & tiring!) it was a fun experience cos we gotta be fast...to put everything in place in 1 min! all of us were super tired...becos we spent the previous night not sleeping...playing, chit chatting & even discuss abt palmistry (so interesting lahz!) back to the float performance...one wrd to describe...AWESOME! but it's disappointing tat sci didnt win the overall champion...nevertheless we still walked away with 5 subsidiary awards tat's enough to make sci fac ppl proud of themselves...furthermore...it was the fac with most ppl cheering their hearts out! 'Stand up! Be proud! We are from Sci Fac!' wahahaz...we'll be back!
hmmm...let me tell u my experience of first day in sch ytd...u may tink it's no biggie...but hey...my lst sch day in uni! my lst sch day wearing home clothes (seriously i missed uniforms!)...my lst sch day knowing some of my course mates...my lst sch day roaming around arts fac...aiyahz...so many 1st time...hahaz...anyway...i attended 3 lecs ytd...2 core (principles of modern chem & sci & tech on food) & 1 gem (intro to lit studies)...i realised tat i'd returned my knowledge to my teachers...cos i was like blur...esp the sci modules...i hope i juz can keep going & my knowledge can flood back...hahaz...oh ya...i spent like so much money in one day...joined the anime club & wushu so i paid the membership fees...bought lab coats...& have to buy exp textbks soon...ahhh...money not enough leh!
talking abt wushu...i was convinced (or rather pyscho-ed) by my fren to join wushu or else she'll be alone...actually i wasnt very keen cos i wanted to join aikido but currently no news on it yet...hehez..so i decided to join wushu for the time being...hope i can fight well lahz...hahaz...
rmb my movie list? hehez...i managed to watch all except one! I watched rush hour 3 with ong! it's SUPER DAMN funny! it's like more of a comedy than action flick...hahaz...it's a muz watch if u really want to laugh like crazy...however...i juz find the story plot is not fantastic...simpsons movie is like DUH...funny & crude...typical simpsons style...'out of the world' story plot but hilarious characters...really not bad...lastly i watched 881 with my bro...it's quite a nice musical with all the hokkien songs (very upbeat!)...a very touching plot & GREAT ost! esp 'Yi Ren Yi Ban' by Wu Jia Hui! plus...qi yuwu is HOT! hehez...shld support local productions ppl! now i left with 'Secret'...gonna watch with ong also...heard tat it's a very romantic story with a plot twist...shld be a good one...
hehe...tml i'm going to sch during the afternoon for lecs...hope everything turns out fine...sch's really packed during peak hours! esp when we need to take shuttle buses around sch...buses are really crowded...gonna get used to this kind of life...=) hope i can make some friends during my art modules...hehez.......

matriculation
YEAH! I am now officially an NUS student liaoz! Hehez...cos got matriculated (finally can buy subway at discounted price! hahaz) recently...taken my student card & ezlink card...wahahz...suddenly got so many cards in my wallet...so finally i become a uni student...going to embark on a brand new uni life...quite unexpected for myself...hahaz...of cos...i went for the sch's matriculation fair where i was introduced to many cca grps...there were so many tat caught my attention & interest...hahaz...ended up signing up for at least 8 cca grps...luckily it's not official...but most probably i'll join anime club (confirmed!) & aikido or wushu (still considering)...hehez...i always like cca bazzars...cos got lots of freebies/brochures! (i'm a goodie bag lover!) haiz...but before fussing over which cca to join...i've to think of wat modules to take for my 1st sem...arh! headache!
ok...both are drawn by me...can i pass wif tis standard arh? really luv drawing manga but i sux at it! =P
oh ya...i bought a fujitsu lifebook for $2K plus...from sch...dunno considered exp or wat...cos i'm really a computer idiot...hahahaz...but it seems to have gd functions...so shld be not bad...furthermore...many ppl bought the same model as me...actually thought of buying acer (cos it's cheaper!)...but heard lots of bad comments abt it...so i decided to choose a better one...hahaz maybe money=quality? now have to think of wat 'look' i'm gonna give to my nice laptop...=P
last week was filled with activities...hehez...actually only 3 days lahz...last tues went to watch the harry potter movie with ong & ping at suntec...of cos i was reluctant to watch as i dun really follow the harry potter series...& i only watched the 1st 2 installments & i dun read the bks at all...so i was really quite blur while watching...however...i enjoyed the movie nevertheless...hehez...oh yesh...b4 the movie started...we went to the arcade & play! soooo fun...reminded me of my childhood days! after the movie...we shopped around & had dinner+chat at Xin Wang HK cafe...yummy mian xian & good macau coffee!
last fri was sci fac dean's welcome talk...freshmen were encouraged to attend for more info on bidding on modules & majors...i'm really glad to have joined scamp...or else i wld hv to go alone...so i met with my og mates to attend the seriously approx 8 hrs long talk (of cos got breaks here & there...hehez)...i learnt quite essential stuff...more abt the bidding system & my own major (btw...i'm a food sci & tech major! in case u're wondering...) we also went to help rag...it was a tiring day cos i woke up super early! (why is my sch so far from my house? sobs!) but i had fun!
then last sat was one of my og mates' bdae! for now...happy belated bdae to yanling! a bdae celebration was organised for her so it was like another og outing...hahaz...we went singing at chinatown again & took loads of pics! after tat...we headed to vivo for scrumptious dinner at fig & olive...took pics again...next stop was the e-zone arcade where we...of cos...played our hearts out...last stop was to ben & jerry's ice cream where we all bought diff flavours & devoured them while yakking abt stuff within vicinity...(omg...the strawberry cheescake ice cream is so damn GD! also exp lahz...) glad tat all of us had enjoyed ourselves!
